Start with safety. Then get answers.
You do not have to figure everything out at once. Organize what happened and speak with a roofer about the condition of your roof.
What to look for
Take photographs from safe locations, record when you noticed the concern, and note any rooms affected by water. Avoid climbing the roof or entering an area with electrical or structural hazards. Explain active water entry when calling Alliance.
Questions worth asking
Discuss visible roof conditions, inspection photos, temporary protection and a written repair or replacement estimate. Keep those records with prior roof information and any receipts for work performed.
Keep the next step clear
Your insurer answers coverage and claim questions under your policy. Texas does not permit a contractor performing the work to act as your public adjuster, and contractors cannot waive or absorb your deductible. Contact your insurer directly about your coverage.
Does visible storm damage guarantee insurance coverage?+
No. Coverage depends on your policy and the insurer’s claim decision. A roofing estimate describes proposed work; it is not a coverage decision.
